How to Apply Stick-on Name Labels for Clothes

These instructions will help you apply your stick-on name labels correctly, ensuring they remain in place through wash and wear.

Step 1: Locate the Care Label Ensure the garment is clean and completely dry. Find the smooth, satin-like care instruction label, which is usually sewn into a side seam inside the clothing. This is the ideal surface for application.

Note: The stick-on labels can be applied to the brand's neck label (the one with the logo and size), but the adhesive will not form as strong a bond as it does with the smooth material of a care label.

Do not apply the label directly to the clothing fabric.

Step 2: Peel and Stick Peel your personalised name label from its backing sheet. Carefully place it flat onto the care label, ensuring there are no bumps or creases.

Step 3: Apply Firm Pressure Using your thumb, press down firmly across the entire surface of the label for several seconds. Pay special attention to the corners and edges to ensure they are fully bonded to the care label.

Step 4: Leave to Set Once applied, leave the garment to sit for at least 24 hours before its first wash. This crucial time allows the adhesive to cure properly and form a permanent bond with the fabric label.
